I have experienced the same warning although it comes and goes. It will come up whilst driving but when the engine is stopped and then started, the warning disappears. When the warning is displayed the stop/start system doesn't work.I haven't done anything about it yet.

 

Thanks Andy my stop/ start has stopped working also but everything else seems ok. Ill have to see what jag dealer says next week.

 

by looks of it, both of you are within warranty period - have it checked by dealers. don't leave it until, god forbid, big bang and big repair cost

 

On my car there is a unit connected to the battery +ve that monitors the voltage...check it still connected or get Jaguar to prove its working OK if your car is still under warranty.

 

I was plagued with this for a while. I was on the point of going to the dealer but decided to just check the battery out. I found one of the connectors, (not the main battery one but a smaller relay type) that was very loose. Tightened bolt and fingers crossed it seems to have fixed it. might be worth a quick look if you haven't already.

 

Thanks rookie, I have checked all the connections on both batteries and they are all tight.

 

Will do hopefully get sorted soon.

 

My XF developed this fault yesterday. The battery not charging light coming ou every 2 minutes or so then going off. The car is booked in for repair under warranty on the 4th of February will report what they find. Roger Grigg
