Want to check my BCM

Hi, I hope I have listed this in the right section, if I haven't,...... I apologise.
My windscreen washers stopped working, well, Out of every 10 presses, I can only hear the pump once and for only 1/2 a second also my power headlamp washers have totally stopped.
I have checked the screen pump off the car, it's fine. I have checked for any codes (icarsoft)and only found error B111A ( number plate light). I have No other faults with the car.
I'm worried that I have water ingress in the BCM.
My question is this.... what is the correct procedure in checking the BCM connections. I realise you can't just pull them out. Also I believe the the GREY G7 connector is the washer?. Am I correct.
I'm retired so not able to pay the garage bills, However, I am competent at mechanical work. Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi alex7127,
I really appreciate your feedback.
I have removed the wheel under tray, and in the connecting plug to the pump I noticed it wet inside where the 2 pins are. Also around the washer bottle was damp also.
One time the interior light flickered on and went off ?. I believe this along with the washer/power pumps not working are tell tail signs of water ingress.
I think I should invest in SDD software. (Your so right) I'm not to worried about the using the software, it's the instalation of it onto a computer. That's the worry.
Any ideas ? Would SDD actually tell me if water ingress is a fault. I.E. communication fault.
Thanks. ;)
P.S. I have that wire plan already.

No it won't tell you about water. But it would have stored both permanent and intermittent faults that could indicate something is not quite right with the module itself. I've used fan heaters on a low setting and hairdryers to dry out damp electrics before. Are any connectors corroded?
I'm not sure if the connectors are corroded, I haven't pulled any out. Not sure how to safely pull the connectors, such as, battery disconnected, leaving the key near ? Things like that.

This Is the cable I received. Genuine Mongoose...well who knows huh. But works as it should 👍
Oh right, yes that looks like a Mongoose alright.
The one on the listing now just says "JLR" so I guess you don't get a Mongoose lead anymore, I will message them to see if they would supply a Mongoose lead. Thanks again for the info.

You need a power supply unit, not a charger. One providing 40amps will be plenty. A PSU supplying in the high 13volts, say 13.8volts would be sufficient. A charger unfortunately provides a dirty charge, ie could cause voltage spiking. Whereas a PSU provides a much cleaner power supply.

If you are just changing vehicle settings for example in the CCF then as long as your battery is fully charged then you do not even need a PSU. Both myself and AshM-T have done lots of CCF changes just using the battery.

A PSU is probably needed if for example you had to flash a module for a few hours.
alex7127.....Would this PSU be OK to use ?

Basically yes. These are typically what are referred to as Computer Server PSU's.

You need one that has the ability to adjust the voltage up and down via an adjuster screw, as you need approximately 13.8v. One of 40amp current would be sufficient.

Then all you have to do is solder on some high current cables to it.....many people sacrifice a pair of jumper cables.
Thanks for that info, so do you have any idea how I can add an adjuster to it.
Thanks
