Just popped up today " Parking aid unavailable"
Camera still working fine just no sensors.
Any ideas or anyone had this before?

I haven't tried anything yet, so may try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery tomorrow, if it's still an issue.

No but I will do now you have mentioned it, however it had a full service and valet last week, so is pretty spotless.
It worked ok when I parked up at work, but when I started up to come home it failed.

Well once again my car appears to have had a 24 hr glitch, as All is well this morning.
Probably the most annoying bit of my 5 years of ownership is the random errors that come and go of their own accord.
I get a fault, spend time and effort researching the fault, prepare the bank account for a bashing and it all goes away on its own.
I suppose it could be worse.

Mmm! Spoke too soon. On the way home had "OBD FAULT" " DSC FAULT" " ABS FAULT" . Then went and paid the garage for my service last week, those faults had cleared and the "Parking aid unavailable" is back. Battery now on charge, it did this once before shortly after I bought it and charging the battery over a couple of nights cured it, so am hoping it will this time.

I have charged the battery overnight and will see what happens, the battery appears strong as it cranks in the same way it always has.
I am hoping it just dropped off a little as it was sat for three weeks while I was on holiday.

I do agree, however the Jaguar seems extremely sensitive to even minor fluctuations in battery voltage that would not bother any other car. A perfectly good battery that can start the car easily and is sat at over 13v should not need changing and in my opinion is the one failing of the XF.
I had the same problem shortly after buying the car and a short charge fixed the issue.
It seems a shame that I may have to replace a battery that fitted to any other car may last for several more years, but if I have to will.
I am just feeling a little reluctant at the moment having just spent a lot of money on a service, 2 tyres, rear discs, pads and a new window winder mech.

Latest update. Since that one day wen I had a bunch of alarms all has been well except the parking aid issue. Yesterday I went through all the sensors and wiring at the rear one by one and when I finished the parking sensors are now working. I think it was a poor connection some where.
However I now have a strange issue with the camera guidance lines.
The bendy lines are not where they should be, with the steering wheel straight they are 50% to the left. They move as normal but are just misaligned with the steering. Any ideas?

Went for a run out to look at new car (yes, Jaguar) and after the run the lines have reset to normal, perhaps it was something to do with having the battery disconnected.

Well after a few weeks now, of intermittent parking aid failure, I finally fitted a new sensor and is well again.
Back in love with my ( now getting on a bit) XF. I do hate it when it's not right for some reason.

I had a coupe of clues.
If I stop started the car enough times the sensors would come on momentarily and the only one that did not flash red was the centre rear right one.
when I removed and cleaned them one by one last week, the system worked after removing and cleaning that one, but only for a day.
So I bought a set of 4 and started by changing the one I suspected and got a little lucky as it fixed it.
I was prepared to change them all one by one though.
