Welcome to the forum COWBACK :D
Congratulations are due to you for buying a great XF, now which colour did you choose :?:
As for your "buttons" in the arm rest, that's a mystery to me. Always worth taking a picture and posting when asking this type of question. Are the buttons in the compartment under the arm rest where the audio connectors, iPod USB etc, are housed if fitted :?:

Pekem,
Thanks for the reply to my post. I have purchased a grey(ish) colour but i cant pick it up until wednesday :( . I will take a picture on wednesday but yes the buttons are in the compartment under the arm rest.

Definitely need a photo. I suspect they might just be covers, because on the Portfolio-spec the armrest cubby contains a power socket, a memory stick USB port, an iPod socket and a standard 3.5mm line-in socket. Unless someone has been playing with your new baby (in which case I would ask the stealer what they are!)

Looks like either Vapour or Lunar Grey to me, here's one, I think it is Vapour, I took earlier :)

This remains a mystery for now !. I have to go to the garage tonight to sort out my private plate so i will try and get a picture. If i never post again then it was ejector seats :D

Don' be silly  . It can't possibly have that option............no sunroof  .
A Kaiser Wilhelm helmet would solve that problem. :D

Fair point Pekem we do seem to have strayed a little off topic  . Does the large box signify a stern warning :?:

Anyway, back on topic............

If it's not for the ejector seat it must be the rocket launchers, the machine guns or the bullet deflector

Those buttons are where the ipod & usb sockets would be if you had the ipod interface. They are not standard so their function is a mystery.

You better get the Dealer to investigate.
Ok...here`s my guess...and it really is just a guess....someone has retro-fitted an on/off switch for the Aux socket.....as standard the Aus socket is always live....so if you leave a device connected when you switch off the car it continues to draw current from the battery.

Alternatively someone has just fitted two coloured pieces of plastic to make the little cubby hole look pretty.Lol
