Hi all

The low brake warning light has come on this morning in Amber,

FYI , I have just had new pads & discs fitted all round so cant be low pads as they are all brand new !!!!

I am thinking it has to be a damaged brakes sensor or something got disturbed whilst work was recently carried out as the wheels have been of a couple of times as the XF has has had new tyres & alloys refurb.

I would appreciate a recommendation from forum members that have used a decent independent Jaguar specialist near Barnet preferably.

Many thanks

all i can recommend is e&e services in milton keynes...
as you say, would think that one of the sensors got damaged - mind you there are only two, left front and rear right wheel. changing sensors is dead easy - i wouldn't even consider going to any garage for the job, there's great write up (with pics) here on how to change disc/pads, just use search bar. But if you can't tinker then any garage would do it.

can recommend online shop where to get sensors (and discs/pads) and their part number as well (i'm not related to them in any way).

ebcbrakesdirect.com

part efa167 is rear sensor
efa166 is front one

they manufacture disc/pads. not saying they are the cheapest, but definitely great quality, using them since 2016. cant recommend red stuff pads enough (no dirty wheels!)
