Hi fellow xferrs have only just found the forum really interesting stuff. Had my xf nearly a year no probs at all apart from fuel flap, what a car. As i am new to all this any tips would help. Got to drive xfr at gaydon on jaguar track day 6march hit 170mph on the straight, car is blisteringly quick a real merc & bmw killer. New 3.0 d S pretty good to, I want one but it would be a 10 to 12 k hit on a p ex for mine maybe will wait another year.

Welcome Stevejay,
I am presentely a very happy owner of an XF 2.7 delivered on December, and I would like to go for the new 3.0 DS in portfolio, but my car is relly new, only 3 months, so I must wait for sometime before going for change.
I had also fuel flap problem and had it change last month, looks like the replacement was done with the same stuff.
I would like to know if you have again any problem with the fuel flap.

No i have only had it changed once after the car was 3 month old been ok ever since. First service is booked for 30 march, have asked dealer to carry out satnav upgrade after reading about it on this forum, although i have never had a problem with it even when i took the car to germany to take my daughter to university in Freiburg, loved the european motorways so much less stressful than englands.

Hi stevejay,
It is interesting that it has taken you a while to find us. However, now you are here you are very welcome :)
It would be really good to see some pictures of your car.
As you will have noticed we have one member who is almost beside her self having a tortous wait for her Botanical Green XF. It seems that now she will get some respite if she can see an XF in any colour

Great pictures Ronniewales, that should cheer XF FX up a little
I have to say that I would be tempted to put Chrome vents on your car; I think it would wear them well :)

Yes, they are available from the parts dept and the fitted cost is around £150.
Others have bought items from sellers on eBay and we do have the fitting instructions if you would like to go down the DIY route.

Evening gentlemen
Well its good to see some colour on this forum ;)
Car is looking radiant... forgive pun.
That gives me my fix for the day...and was feeling ok as thought I was further along in production of my beauty - but slowly it dawned, today is only Monday, car build date was Friday; a very long torturous (non-working) weekend in between, so will be lucky if my Cham has even taken on its own technicolour dreamcoat :!: :!:  however, looking on the bright side....ummmm, hmmmm, well, I would if there was one :!: :!:

Go for it! and don't forget your sticker once you've completed your lap!
Make sure you keep yourself in check mind as the little horns started to come out for me and about half way round, I gave it a bit too much right foot and lost the back end a little  funnily enough the car sorted itself out almost immediately and I adjusted my underwear accordingly. It did keep the other half strangely silent for the remainder though
