Can't get the service position to stay there where ignition switched off. Does yours work? P. 91/92 Owners manual.

The user manual states that it is possible to park the wipers in a service position, and also notes that this is advisable to leave them in that position in the likelyhood of snow or ice.

I have followed the instructions in the manual, and indeed the wipers do park in the service position, however as soon as the ignition is switched off (as per the manual), the wipers park in their normal position. It therefore seems impossible to park the wipers in the service position.

What happens on your car? Can anyone get theirs to work as per the handbook?

Pages 91 and 92 of the owners handbook.

Yep, mine does exactly as you describe. As soon as you turn the ignition off the wipers return to the normal parked position.

Likewise, mine do exactly the same.

So actually it's just a printing error, it should read:

"... release the wiper stalk, jump out and change the wipers real quick and turn off the ignition.

Sorted.
