I think the term is "shouting", the practice of writing a post in capital letters. There is a convention that it be limited very much indeed. For one reason, it is simply irritating to most readers.
As for your comments, you are quite right, this is a known issue and Jaguar are busy working out a fix; who knows, your car may be a guinea pig :D

Re: Wind noise coming in through door

When I asked my dealer to keep me informed about Jaguar's door seal fix he told me about a customer, a noise specialist in the Gas Industry, who noticed the excessive wind noise on the day he took delivery of his XF and who made a pair of polystyrene wing mirror fairings which apparently reduced the noise considerably.

THE FIRST COMMENT ON THIS PAGE IS NOT VERY GOOD ABOUT MY CAPITAL LETTERS . SO HERE IT IS AGAIN , AS FOR SHOUTING , YES I SHOULD BE SHOUTING AFTER PAYING NEARLY £40,000 FOR A CAR THATS NOT RIGHT , IN CASH . AND THEY STILL DONT HAVE A FIX BUT SAY THEY ARE SENDING PROTO TYPE PARTS TO TRY ON MY CAR . WHO WOULD BE HAPPY .

Very strange, I would have thought Jaguar would have fitted the parts on one of their own cars. To be honest the wind noise is not as bad as it was on a brand new 1996 BMW 5 series I once owned.

Do you find the wind noise more intrusive when there is a strong/gusting cross wind?

I see no need to shout at us.We did not build the car or take your money.
As for the substantive issue you have with Jaguar, and you are not alone, it is good news Jaguar are responding in such a manner.

I have received a phone call from my dealer to inform me that Jaguar have sent a pair of modified window seals for my car. If I understood correctly these are the seals behind the chrome strips that run along the bottom of the windows. It should only take a few minutes to swap them over as they are only held in place by a couple of screws sited at the front and rear of the doors.

Let's hope a software update for the satnav logic will be forthcoming soon!

Difficult to knew if it will be soon but Jaguar are aware of the shortcomings and they are being addressed presently :)

I'd imagine it's down to Navteq to fix the satnav problems.
As I understand it Jaguar are working with Denso to resolve this matter.
Then I'll have to rely on my Garmin nuvi 660 when I drive to Bavaria again in September. Whoever cleared the satnav software should be made to walk the plank!

Well in Fairness to both Jaguar and Navteq, et al, I have not encountered major problems with it. Of course, I have heard what appear to be false announcements spoken with such authority as "Traffic ahead" only to find nothing more than a few cars, properly parked, around the next corner. I imagined that the system could not possibly be meaning those cars but I didn't see any others. I have been told to take the second exit when plainly the third was the correct one and I have been directed along roads that were very narrow indeed. On the whole I have always reached my destination and have been happy with the performance. It would be good to have more information such as speed camera alerts and a more credible and interactive alert system from MDC , which I would be happy to pay for. As for your journey,Vapougrey,to Bavaria it would be interesting to simply input the destination and then review the directions whilst sitting at home. Who knows it might just agree with your Garmin device

I'm afraid it is not as simple as that Pekem as it is not possible to see the detail required. On our last Bavaria trip the satnav kept trying to pull us of trunk routes and through the middle of towns even if it was only a few hundred yards shorter. The Route Preference options do not work. Major routes and Toll Roads have no priority in the logic. Jaguar has details of the route and where the satnav went wrong and are working on it. Basically it agreed with the Garmin unless the distance was shortened by routing through the centre of (congested) towns and cities.

It seems that not only is it difficult to read your comments because of your insistence on using block capitals, apparently it is also difficult for you to write them; 65mpg and 70mpg indeed
