So... :
  • why the request from UK.gov, Project Birch, for reportedly £2bn?
  • why the borrowing at pay-day loan rates, ~8%, on the junk bond market?
  • why the shoving out the (back)door, by hook or crook, of thousands/tens of thousands of workers?
  • why the axing of XE, XF, XJ, 'Jaguar', Road Rover etc?

when:

'The auto major said its Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) unit returned to profit with significant positive cash flow in the quarter as sales and revenue recovered'

Why did JLR 'smash it', when:

'Tata Motors NSE 1.46 % on Tuesday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 307.3 crore in the quarter ended September, compared with a net loss of Rs 187.70 a year ago.

An ET Now poll had projected a net loss of Rs 2,300 crore
.'

  • are the analysts that bad, that useless, worse than sticking your finger in the air, six sigma out or whatever, or is Tata that desperate to dispose of:
  • a) its crap domestic passenger vehicle business
  • b) its crap JLR subsidiary

- that it will over-egg to this extent, even embarrassing, massively, its lickspittle, on-the-payroll 'analysts', who now look like (total)cretins?

Tata has seen last week Daimler and BMW indeed 'smash it', with huge, both, around €3bn profitabillity in the 3rd quarter.

To show that JLR was up with these, if not doing even better - 'absolutely smashing it in China' - where no one can really check - it had to massively wrong-foot all expectations, and the obvious reality of a car company in teminal meltdown - Birch, junk bond coupons, mass sackings, mass model culling, criminal emissions certification, sub-Lada quality/reliability, etc.

This of course, too, is self-defeating, as it fools no one with a brain, or any industry knowledge, but it also makes UK.gov's job of bunging £billions of taxpayer money at JLR, to save it, impossible, at least through the frontdoor, as even the plebs will say - 'hang on, it's making money, and so is its parent, owned by billionaires, so why are we bailing the F'er out?'.

Stupid [email protected] in Bombay are just painting themselves into a corner.

They need to admit it's bust, and hand it over to the UK state. No one's going to buy it off them.

Total f'ing morons. Almost as if they're on dope.

"formidable" seems to be the new "character", for UK/US hacks trying to tell saps up is down, black is white, and '400hp', and a £1 billion clean-sheet engine, do this:

'The Defender's 6.3-second run to 60 mph and 14.8-second sprint through the quarter-mile are practically irrelevant on Drummond Island. But in the hands of pavement pounders, where most Defenders will live out their lives, these are formidable numbers for something that weighs 5773 pounds and has the aerodynamic profile of a bulldozer.'

- nope, 'formidable' would/should be well under 5, and ~13 seconds respectively, as shown for example by the X7 40i, with claimed more than 10% less power and torque, doing under 5.5 seconds to 60 mph.

What the hack is saying is, I'll spit in the idiot reader's face, and tell him the opposite of the bleeding obvious - The Icon's metrics are appalling, and the stated power output is fraudulent - massively.

Real power of this 'gritty' garnage Ingenium lump is around 300hp - 4wd, brilliant ZF gbox, stepping off the brake at around 4,000 rpm = around 7 seconds flat for 0-100 km/h - appalling.

But surely, given its power is so awful, no better than many of the latest 4-pots from the Germans, that its fuel consumption must be correspondingly astonsihingly good - er, no:

'our lousy 15-mpg average'

- what the hell is this - a 600hp+ V8?

What the Beard hack is saying is: if you buy this, you want sectioning, and it'll do really 12/13 mpg - its huge (real) weight(nearer 6,000 lbs), huge CdxA, appalling engine etc - not the figure I gave for contractual reasons with our biggest bunger, ...and I want to keep my job'.

These figures, are those of 20-30 years - for everyone else - and not that far off what the 1950s Buick V8 was doing in the last of the Classic Range Rovers(LWB 4.6) and the P38 Range Rover - very similar mpg and perfromance - mid teens mpg(UK), and in the 6s 0-60 mph.

That's why (Lie)berman and hacks like Beard, and of course Cropley and co. back home, are all furiously orgasming over it, 'The Icon', as even these venal half-wits realise how appalling it is - as most of them are fossil old, and remember driving the 'Rover V8' Range Rovers from a quarter of a century ago. No wonder they called it 'The Icon' - it's deja-vu.

JLR has outdone itself - with the 'I can't believe how bad it is' 6-pot version of the already world's worst, ever, engine, Ingenium.

The worse the product, from Tesla/JLR, the more the hacks are told to jizz all over it - that's basically how the world works, in late 2020.

The more their products kill, defraud, or just breakdown, the more their share prices go through the roof - as I said, Communsim/Brainwahing for the masses 101.

Thank god, some/most Americans don't fall for (Lie)berman and co., as seen by the deluge of orders for the half the price, ten times the product Bronco.

It makes them mad when the sheep won't do what they're told, so they just tell even more outrageous/fraudulent lies, and the frequency becomes exponential - saturation coverage of tiny auto makers Tesla and JLR - 'globally', 24/7/365.

And finally, not ony does The Icon not like to go, but when it eventually does, it can't be stopped!:

'The heft hurts the Defender's braking abilities. Panic stops from 70 mph take a lengthy 204 feet' (62.2 metres)

- jesus, that's dreadful - and v. v. v. ... dangerous!

- I bet if some honest 'global' hack - i.e. no one alive - tested this car in Europe, for the standard 100-0 km/h, it would be well over 40 metres, even on low profile 'all-season/M+S' tyres, something like Pirelli Scorpion Verde - due to its collosal weight, and its pitching forwards, because of its great height and raised centre of gravity, and brakes not fit for purpose - would have to be: much larger diameter discs, at least 6 piston calipers, and therefore either very heavy, if non carbon ceramic, or very expensive, ...or both.

Anything these days over 37/38 metres, for a passenger vehicle, is basically regarded as dangerous, and unfit for European certification.

The difference between 70 and 62.1 mph(100 km/) in kinetic energy, is 1.27 times, so one would expect a stop from 100 km/h for the vehicle above to take:

62.2 divided by 1.27 = 48.9 metres !!!!!!!!

Deathtrap - or more likely, out of control 3-ton missile, licensed for US roads - by the same NHTSA that allows Rug man's death-mobiles also free licence.

'SUV of the Year' - you c***, Lieberman.

Take your shekels, drink or snort yourself to death, knowing you're a reptile, putting your rewarded non-job ahead of people's lives, people that might still trust you, to tell the truth.

So, joke Aston Martin gets bought, but not JLR, the most successful, stunning thing on the planet, ever.

Reality sticking two fingers up to the reality-shaping clowns in London and Bombay.

Daimler has bought the brand, the name, not the joke company, obviously.

But, it still means a serious, heavyweight German outfit has put its money into something that's basically just a movie franchise, whereas the operation next door in Gaydon claims to be a world-beater. Are the Germans p!ssed, or are they highlighting that the Gaydon neighbours are full of it?

Sooo funny, and on the very day the PR masters of UK and India thought they had it all back on a even keel.

So let's recap:
  • basketcase Rolls-Royce Motors - bought with hard cash, and years/£billions of investment by BMW
  • basketcase Bentley - bought with hard cash, and year/£bns of investment by VAG
  • basketcase AML - effectively acquired by Daimler AG, with years/£bns of investment ahead, with one of its best managers, Moers, put in beforehand to oversee it all.
  • UK's undisputed automotive star, the jewel in the crown, the non plus ultra of everything, stunning, iconic, orgasmic, royal-approved JLR - no f'er wants it - wouldn't touch it with a mile-long bargepole.

FFS, PSA bought FiatChrysler before JLR.

You'd have more luck trying to sell dogsh!t.

To be fair to dogsh!t... .

The game's up. Kallenius and co., all industry top managers, from Detroit, to Stuttgart, to Seoul, to Beijing, to Tokyo, know JLR ain't worth sh!t.

The Indians and the clowns in Whitehall/Westminster are the last to know. They think paying £5-10,000 per diem PR consultants, from UK taxpayer money, can change this.

They think paying vermin like the UK and US press, to print outright lies, can make JLR the JLR of 2011-2015 again.

They think they're f'ing God. They're f'ing clowns.

BMW was never going to buy JLR. They did that once, the worst LR bit, and will regret it till the end of time.

Ford is on a tear, and would not go near J or JLR now for all the money in the world.

The Chinese won't touch it. The Brits keep kicking them in the balls, Why would they buy it? Lotus and London Cabs is plenty enough to be going on with.

I still think JLR's and UK's only hope, of someone to buy JLR, is the arabs, Saudi, or one of the emirates - tied up with doing a favour for the Brits, a quid pro quo - SAS sent to Yemen, cough, already there, you in return buy our 'showpiece' basketcase.

Won't happen, but it might happen - 1,000,000 times more than anyone else buying it.

It's over. Spaffer and clowns like Shapps need to get a grip, of the nettle, and nationalise the f'er. Simple as.

The clowns, JLR-Autocar, don't even check their lies:

'The most significant petrol addition is the plug-in hybrid model. It mates a 197bhp 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine with a 107bhp electric rear axle motor and 15kWh battery under the boot floor. Jaguar claims a 0-60mph time of 6.1sec (making it the fastest-accelerating E-Pace available), CO2 emissions of 44g/km and up to 141mpg. Claimed range on a full charge is 34 miles.'

- the 'All-New' Wart-on-Wheels, aka 'New E-Pace' - they've made it even worse looking by the way.

But notice anything about the above statement, from Truth Central, Autocar? Compare it to this, from their top, venerated scribe, Cropley:

'Technical specs

Model tested: Discovery Sport P300e R-Dynamic AWD

Engine: 3 cyls, 1498cc, turbocharged, petrol, plus 48V ISG and electric motor
Battery size 15kWh
Fuel economy 175.5mpg (141 mpg)
CO2 32g/km
(44 g/km)
Electric range 43 miles
' (34 miles) (E-Pace PHEV figures in brackets)

So, let's get this straight, the bigger, heavier DiscoSport, with the exact same PHEV system, as the 'New' E-Pace(and 'New' Joque of course), has better, much better, fuel economy, CO2 emission, and electrical range.

The lazy, arrogant gimps don't even check their 'work', or rather the criminal lies they spin.

Don't forget, VAG mangers went to jail, for long sentences, for much less than this, and vermin like John Hayes MP demanded VAG UK managers also be prosecuted and jailed. It's not a game. These are criminal scum. They're protected by the Law and the state, and Plod are in their pocket, but it doesn't change the fact that they are criminal scum.

Senile, doddery, long past pension age hacks 'embellishing the truth' for their client/bunger is one thing, but this is now open, spitting in your face criminality, knowing they are untouchable.

But, the clowns don't seem to realise their games, criminality, all venal, lowife hacks in their pocket, still doesn't bring them what they want and need - a buyer for their joke company, as Daimler acquiring joke Aston shows.

The stunts and criminal strokes they pull fool 99% of the people - but who cares, those idiots were born to be fooled. Like anything, it's the minority, either with a backbone or a brain, that counts, and these people know JLR/UK is all front and no substance, lies its/their stock in trade, brainwashing the gullible and simple of mind, but falling down every time when they need to actually compete at anything outside serfdom-central, largely gone insane, criminally feral UK.

Typical slip-shod, couldn't give a F, dozy attitude of 'top' civil servants and pols on the taxpayer teat, protected from the real world, or, deliberate misinfo/lying, to protect their real masters, kickback suppliers, Bombay dope peddlers, sorry, ex-dope peddlers?:

'Indian investment in the UK is focused on technology, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing, including electric vehicles at Jaguar Land Rover’s Castle Bromwich plant in the West Midlands.'

Firstly, there are no 'electric vehicles at JLR's Castle Brom', not a single one.

Secondly, JLR's boss, has just said - given to The Times - that eXJ is dead, er, "under review".

So, the cretins in Whitehall, No.11, are either duffers, or deliberately peddling disinfo for their masters.

We're a laughing-stock. A govt that hands over £billions of UK taxpayer money to offshore companies like the Crown's Serco, or to foreign nationals, with either no quid pro quo at all, or the flimsiest of covers - Mayhem's £500m handed to JLR/Tata for 'eXJ', now over a year ago.

Tata's reps on the Indian delegation - they probably were the Indian delegation - will have reminded Sunak to keep the money flowing to JLR/Tata, with the 'any minute now' cover of the eXJ and Road Rover at Castle Brom.

Why would Sunak care? It's not his money, and his alliegances are split.

The British Raj was built on dope. The Indian Raj in Modern Britain is built on dopey/doped-up Brits not giving a flying one.

Obviously no one in Whitehall and No.11 can afford a subscription to Murdoch's rag:

'Rumours are circulating that plans for an all-electric version of the Jaguar XJ have been scrapped

Jaguar Land Rover silent on all-electric XJ model as it claws back losses'

'Jaguar Land Rover has pointedly refused to say whether it will go ahead with its commitment to build a new all-electric Jaguar to take on the top-of-the range Tesla Model S.'

i.e., 'it was binned in late 2018/early 2019, but we wheeled it out early this year to tell the muppet Mayhem and Whiethall mandarins that it was a thing, so we could get bunged £500m, and hopefully land some Chinese buyer for the whole piece of junk.'

- so why is Squeaky Sunak this morning telling the world that 'Tata is investing in electric cars at JLR'?

Is the clown that thick, ...or bent?

'Help out to eat out' was Squeaky's bung to the Sub-continent's eatery owners, some of whom submitted fraudulent claims on an industrial scale, like a geezer who bought a Lambo on the proceeds, event though his employees blew the whistle, as he forced them to fill in the fraudulent claims.

Squeaky, or a five year old child, knew that would happen.

He knows what Tata is. He knows Tata is squeezing his balls, by threatening, constantly, to close JLR, unless the UK taxpayer keeps the money flowing.

He, or his Oxbridge PPE SpAds, must know the 'JLR/Castle Brom/EV cars' thing, is, and was always, a fraud.

In other countries, his ar$e would now be sitting in jail, for obvious, and gratuitous corruption, on several counts.

But he knows he's flameproof, as the whole of UK.gov, the UK state, would go down on these charges, from Halfcock bunging Serco and his mates, to Spaffer's 'Russian' oligarch financers, and so on.

But that's probably what The Politburo thought in 1989... .

karma - Tata, and all its handmaidens/knob polishers - auditors, hacks, 'analysts', pols, plod etc - put in a mighty push to get the 'Stunningly Successful JLR' thing back on-track, with the aim of luring in a Chinese buyer, cough Geely, causing the TM share price to jump nearly 10%, on the 'shock' news of JLR's incredible rebound - with the emphasis on incredible - only to see it all for nought within 24 hours, as The Thing crushes these 'Tier 2' 'Scumerati', like the Bombay billionaires, 'Tier 1' playing to a different script.

The geniuses in Bombay don't seem to realise they're not part of The Plan. They're too stupid to realise the best they can do is cut their losses, let go of JLR, which is destined to be smashed against the rocks of The Plan - repeated lockdowns by 'They'/Tier 1, until the non-.01% economy is obliterated, with just enough servants/serfs left to run essentials, and be the Plod/storm troopers to crack plebs' heads/do a Bolshevik-style mass culling.

Just shows how cretinous these billionaires and their 'top' advisers are.

So what's the point/future of (BMW)Hams Hall?:

'BMW Werk Steyr: 102 Millionen Euro für neue Benzin-Motoren'

- you don't need to be Nostradamus to see it's for the chop.

Hams Hall used to be the place where BMW centred its 3- and 4-pot petrols, and now it seems to be losing the bulk of that to the far, far bigger, 'mothership' of BMW powertrain actvities, Steyr, which historically was just BMW's diesel centre.

Hams Hall only came about to supply engines to Rover. If the JLR-BMW Partnership thing had been true, not a lie, about engine supply etc, Hams Hall would have been the obvious place to beef up, with its new role of supplying hundreds of thousands of engines to JLR.

That wasn't true, and BMW AG has been looking for a way to close Hams Hall since its unfortunate, unwanted opening. Now they have it - Brexit, tariffs, border delays... .

People will say: 'what about MINI, and its engine supply?'. BMW has already, quietly, consigned Oxford and Swindon to the dustbin, by:
  • giving MINI to the Chinese
  • making it EV
  • and making its ICE/PHEV largely BMW X1 and X3 clones, which will be built alongside these cars, in Leipzig, China, and Spartanburg, USA, and maybe still some in VDL Born.

Another huge story, totally not covered, not touched by the media, as they know it's another major brick gone out of the wall, or facade, of 'The British Car Industry', which will soon be making fewer cars than Slovakia, and its 'giant' will be JCB - unless Anthony sends all that to India.

I think you have this wrong. Porsche will continue to diversify and go further upmarket as the sports brand. Bentley will be the high end lifestyle brand whilst retaining GT cars. Audi tech will feed both platforms. Bentayga, whilst obviously very profitable has freefall depreciation just like its unreliable stablemate the Cayenne and discounts are now deep in the UK market. Given that both cars are essentially Touaregs under the skin this doesn't have a sizeable impact on the return they make but dedicated projects like Macan, Taycan, Continental are performing better on resale giving them better longevity from a product cycle viewpoint. Essentially electric and high tech is likely to be in both Porsche and Bentley's immediate future with SUV feeding the now but probably not the long term plan. Bentley joining with Audi doesn't make Porsche out of the game.

I'm not sure what will happen to Audi itself, Q8 has been a disaster with the SQ8 already trading at £70k or less. Etron is piling up and not selling but the more common cars are doing especially well. Also RS6 is doing extremely well for Audi. Perhaps this is evidence that auto manufacturers would be wise to stick to their established niche - especially as VAG has plenty of them.

VAG wants rid of Ducati because it doesn't understand it, Ducati is actually the most profitable part of VAG on a ROS basis.
Audi need to ship those unsold ETrons to Norway.

Amateur-hour over - Autopilot for real, and not tens of thousands of $s on top:

VW has just started making the ID.4 in China, in 2 JV factories, with 300k/yr capacity each.

Tesla will counter with its kickback journos upping the articles to ten each per day, and JLR will counter with another press release on its 'aerospace tech' - recycled bottles - or how its 3 ton, 12 mpg SUVs are saving the planet.

The VAG MEB has done for Tesla, and the 'King of Cars' S-Class done for Jaguar - the XJ kiboshed, and the 2021 C-Class a shrunken version of the S-Class.

The EQS SUV will do for Range Rover - as Robert Llewellyn(FullyCharged) recently said, 'why would you buy a massive SUV, when you can have a more luxurious massive EV SUV?' - especially when it can do 300 miles, rather than 200 of something like an Audi e-tron?

'Wirtschaftswunder' - not the 1950s, but Q3 2020:

Bruttoinlandsprodukt(BIP/GDP) im 3. Quartal 2020 um 8,2 % höher als im Vorquartal

- no wonder 'They' instructed Mad Mutti Marxist Merkel to impose Lockdown again - can't have the Germans doing what they do - embarrassing everyone else, except possibly the east Asians.

Germany was on a tear, supplying the also on a tear China - can't have that.

UK's 'economy' has been nuked - central London empty - and there was nothing to recover, except Sunak's bung to his curry house mates, and Serco's crumbs from the table.

Communism('NWO'/The Great Reset) is about levelling down, anyone with talent, drive, brains must be cut down, so that 'They' are not challenged, embarrassed, made fun of, and other plebs see that they're not god-like after all.

The new S-Class, MEB EV cars, etc, will thwart this scum's literal diabolical plans, due to sheer will to be the best, do with their hands and brains what god made them for.

And JLR was going to compete with this? 'New XJ/'eXJ' - do me a favour:

http://instagr.am/p/CG-hLX3JBZ2/
- it also explains why Dr Dieter Zetsche was and is so sore about being shunned for the normally procedural elevation to the head of the supervisory board - this is his child, and it's magnificent, but that's how the disgruntled shareholders treated him.

Utterly sublime, the distillation of all Daimler/Merc can offer in one car.

Doing another re-do of the 2003 XJ, this time with the 'novelty' of a fastback hatch, as opposed to a suggested one in the 2009-2019 'Makeover I' car, was never going to cut it, even though Car rag's 'deep-dive' of Jag's product plans in 2013/14 by ditor Phil McNamara called the then coming new XJ 'The Bentley-Fighter' - never mind the S-Class, it was on a level, threat to, the dispatcher of £150k+ Bentleys.

This was peak 'Mad/Insane JLR', under the mad midget Speth, 2013-2015, when Speth and his lieutenants, in a positive feedback loop with the media - also known as daisychain knob polishing - thought the sun shone out of their behinds, and they were destined to not only nuke, overtake and replace the German premium 3, but also take on, and down the uber-premum, £150k+ cars - which of course is where they would have pitched the price of the new XJ.

Insanity. A re-, re-do of a nearly 20 year old car, as either a 25 year old V8, or a 150 miles EV - heavier, bigger than the I-Pace donor - or a 4-pot Ingenium PHEV with real EV range of 15-20 miles, up against:
  • the outstanding MHEV I6 and V8 500 and 580 S-Class
  • the 60 miles PHEV, or
  • the EQS, with real-world 350 miles range.

Speth must be laughing his head off - fooled 99% of the Brits, and the 'uber-brainy' Brahmin of Bombay - on some Caribbean beach, counting his shekels.

for fun: the infamous Car magazine article - marking the high-water mark of Arrogant/Insane/Hubris-JLR:

'just the start of an ambitious regeneration at Jaguar, designed to take the British brand onto a level footing with the German giants (and beyond).

And these are the same sort of people, 'top journos', now selling you The Thing.

They don't care what they're selling, or write, as long as they get paid, to pay those 3/4 sets of £35k/yr-basic private school fees, and a nice ~£2m house in West London, and a nice place in the West Country or somewhere like Southwold, for the weekend..

It's not really their fault; they're vermin, it's what they do. It's like blaming the scorpion for stinging the frog. It's the fault of the cretins who believe the crap they write, or the spitting in your face awards they give, like Lieberman.

Sweden obviously didn't get the memo about 'JLR's stunning rebound, surging sales, profitability, etc':

50373

-57% YoY, -44% YTD must only be 'stunning', 'surging', boucing-back' etc, to those on drugs - a Mr Hunter Biden working for KPMG, doing JLR's books?

11 'sales' of Jaguar, across 6/7 models, across around a dozen dealerships, is a brand being kept alive for PR/propaganda purposes - to keep the already bovine Brits from kicking off - their £billions handed to dope wallahs in Bombay to prop up their also long, completetly bust businesses.

Not that Land Rover is any better - the mainly Icon-caused mid-year blip has now fizzled out, as those dealerships are stuffed to the gunwales with 'demos', 'management cars', 'showroom cars', unsellable, up to €100k, 4-pot Ingeniums, that don't work.

If only some female member of the Tata clan was 'married', bearding for an Etonian, Tory MP, we could then openly hand JLR a taxpayer contract for £3-12 billion, for making world-beating fairy cakes for NHS Heroes.

- there are no Jaguar sales in France, - or anywhere else - besides Home Counties/North and East Ridings/'posh' BrummieLand.

Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier just to hand each pleb ~£100 a year, rather than giving the money to Indian billionaires, and free cars to global 'VIPs', 'royals', and rental companies, to make plebs feel better about things?

UK's economy is same or worse than Spain's - outside of the .01% in central Madrid/The City, it's 'Hospitality'/tourism, and both have been nuked, but Spain's 'sophistication' at lying is not nearly on a par with UK's, so we see the near-truth wreckage:

50376

- the Canaries and the Balearics the worst affected of all - not surprising.

Maybe the returning ex-pat Brits - no medical cover anymore - explains JLR's until very recently ridiculously buoyant 'sales' in Spain finally going off a cliff - why would broke Spaniards buy €50-100k+ non-working toys?:

- in Jaguar's case, it's probably actually that Avis, Hertz etc no longer even want E-Paces for 20% of rrp - too much aggro not working, breaking down, customers don't want them - too small inside, poor fuel economy, etc.

Land Rover is just a general disaster show - who the hell wants very, very expensive toys, that are a laughing stock for reliability, in an economic meltdown?

Hence, today, not unconnected of course, and JLR's true sales-meltdown status, given the 'new-normal' permanent economic collapse, JLR's media lackeys wheeling out the 'scoop' that JLR will soon be selling a £25k vehicle - and if you believe that... .

And if you believe the thing called JLR, maker of unreliable £50-100k+ toys, will be around in 2022, you also have a screw loose.
