^ 'selling fewer than 10,000 genuine cars a year' should be fewer than 4,000/yr - mistook 9 months figures in table above for 1 quarter, 3 months.

What the 'New XF' should have been, if the world-beating crap of the last few years about 'Electric Jaguar', the Gamechanger, eXJ, etc, had been true:

  • would have been onsale for 2022, 7 years after 'II' introed
  • would be a BEV, rather than not even a PHEV of the 'new' one
  • would have genuine world-beating aero, hence efficiency and range
  • would have looked a lot like this:
50340

- the launching end of next year Merc EQE.

If JLR won't or can't do PHEVs - no 'Jaguar' PHEVs, just in the Range Rover clone F-Pace, and no sign still of the 3-cylinder PHEV joke in the Evoque/DSport, wouldn't it have made sense to leapfrog this and go to BEVs for Jaguar's saloons, which I though the point of 'Electric Jaguar' was, the 'European Tesla', back in 2017/18, when the Gamechanger was a thing, and Jaguar/JLR was supposed to be sweeping all before it, wrong-footing the lumbering Germans, with this bold EV move?

What happened? Was it a lie, all of it? Of course it was. It was done - 'Electric Jaguar' - back in late 2017 to early 2019, just to get JLR sold, to some Chinese, Arab, ... idiot, who thought he was getting the European Tesla.

Instead, once 'Get JLR Sold!' failed, about 18 months ago, JLR 'Engineering' pushed forward with bolting a couple of AAs to the pig iron Ingenium, and hey presto, 'Electric Jaguar/JLR' - every range, model with an 'electrified powertrain' - an ~1 kWh battery and some off the shelf kit from Bosch, ZF or whoever.

There's no pretence now of 'Electric Jaguar', as there's no point.

The obvious thing to do with no BEV Jaguar saloons, and no PHEV fallback, to prop up business BiK sales, was to kill them.

Terry the Bottler didn't have the balls.

Did JLR Weekly, nearly all the media crowing about the 'major Jaguar updates' forget to report this; can't think why:

'Hot on the heels of the 2021 model year enhancements for the XF sedan comes the news that Jaguar’s smaller XE model will be retired from the U.S. market after the 2020 stock is exhausted'

This is JLR having to acknowledge reality, unable to PR, lie, press release their way out of trouble, have UK.gov, the NHS, UK 'royals', Plod etc bail them out, by the fact that there must be thousands, quite possibly tens of thousands of unsold XEs built up in the US, over those last several years of 'record and record-er sales', month after month, year after year, like clockwork, which finally had to be recognised and accounted for - JLR US dealers: 'no mas, or you can shove your JLR franchise up your royally-approved, luxury-plus, gamechanging, iconic behind'.

The US JLR dealer council would have given JLR that simple ultimatum, to which JLR had to respond - stop sending its 'volume model', the XE, that doesn't sell to the US - or fire its US dealers, and maybe have the lackey media finally take notice of the meltdown and massive sales fraud of JLR - BMW just got fined for a tiny fraction of this - and its 'record sales' in the US - hard to ignore, cover up.

Of course it's no different with the XF, ...or E-Pace, or F-Pace, or F-type, ...or Gamechanger, but the XE was literally shipped over by the up to 7,000 cars mega car transporter boatload, since 2016, when Dieselgate, the appalling Ingenium, and the general awful crapness of the XE killed real sales in UK/Europe stone dead, and so JLR diverted massive numbers to the US, not cutting production drastically instead - bad PR, give the game away to the 'stunning-success' believing plebs - with US dealers finally saying 'Enough!', cut this sh!t out'.

That's the real news of Jaguar/JLR today - the exposure of flinging cars at the US market for the last 4-5 years, where JLR can self-report record sales till the cows come home, without worrying about fines or jail time for execs, due to 'The Special Relationship' - UK is US's poodle, involved in every war crime of the US like a faithful lapdog - hence JLR gets to skate on its criminal doings, whilst Germany and its conscience, plus Nordstream II etc, gets crucified.

But US JLR dealers still need to make a buck, even with all these JLR 'record sales', so they've called out the nonsense and massive fraud of the last 4-5 years.

Just the tip of the iceberg. How soon before JLR announces - unreported by JLR Weekly and the media generally of course - that The Gamechanger is being "retired" form the US, plus further Jaguar and Land Rover models?

Just cut this nonsense and pull the plug. It's painful, and pathetic, and 5 years or more past being the least bit funny. End this f'ing rubbish.

1.2% - wow, and all that before the tsunami of ID.3, ID.4, etc.
I thought you didn't like to use monthly figures for Tesla. Look at the Jan-Sept 9 month period:

VW - Down 26%

Tesla - Up 25%

How do you explain that?

Now project that 12 months from now, when Tesla has Giga Berlin coming on line. Did you notice how the local government just agreed to build a new water pipeline to bring more water for Tesla Giga Berlin?

Now project that out another 12 months when Tesla brings out their $25K smaller model.

An now you have to wonder why Tesla is worth more than twice as VW. As in Tesla could easily buy VW with a stock swap.

Baron, I don't care about Tesla - past, over. I don't care about idiot pols in Berlin/Brandenburg, with disasters like the new airport behind them, that think Musk is the future.

Let's deal with the now, and what's happening of matter, not rubbish and rigged fantasy like market caps.

Kallenius the new Daimler boss is a man in hurry - like Farley at Ford by the way.

Like Diess at VAG, he's bet the farm, put all his eggs in the EV basket, but unlike VAG and MEB, he wants to corner Luxury-EV, which of course means the end of JLR, if it had lived past 2020, '21 at the latest.

Take a look at this, and see the size of JLR's problem:

50341

- that was shown today, and is, I think, the EQS, obviously, on the far right, and then, from right to left, the EQE, the EQS SUV, EQE SUV, and the Maybach version of the EQS SUV.

That's prime, dead-on JLR/JLR-EV territory, whether 'Gamechanger', eXJ, Road Rover/EV-Road Rover or Full-fat/EV-Full-fat.

Kallenius has hit 'Full Ahead', and 'Ramming Speed' for anyone daring to take on Daimler, and all its sub-brands, AMG, Maybach, EQ and 'G'(-Class spinoffs), in the high-end/luxury field, EV obviously especially, including anything VAG can do with Audi, Porsche and even Bentley.

This is a real challenge and threat to VW group and BMW, with pipsqueaks like JLR bound to get stomped.

But, Tata is busily pushing up the supposed value of JLR, exponentially, through the transparent proxy of Tata Motors - already said by Tata itself to be worthless domestically - Tata Sons tried to dump it into VW's/Skoda's lap not long ago, remember - while the real world spend tens of billions and readies armadas of new product, like above.

Farcical. The EQS alone, with its 700km range, and S-Class appointments, is the end of any putative eXJ, which of course JLR knows, hence its binning in late 2018, then resurrected to say JLR is not dead, and try to sell JLR again, earlier this year, and provide cover for ex-PM Mayhem's half a billion pound going away present from UK taxpayers to Bombay billionaires - f'ing hag should hang for treason.

Don't you see? Tesla is like discussing WWI as current affairs. It's over, only kept going to make ordinary Yanks think their country is still a thing, a player, not a looted, dysfunctional, about to break up/have martial law imposed on it nightmare for most of its med'ed-up inhabitants/inmates of the looney bin.

The real action, as always, is in Eurasia. The New World had its noisy fifteen minutes for at most a century, from the mid to late 1800s to the 1950s/early 60s and then it all turned to sh!t, with the delibetate drugs thing, mass worldwide immigration, etc.

Lucid, I'll give you, is impressive, so far, but that has a lot of German ex-pat input, and an English guy.

JLR hasn't a prayer given what's happening in Europe and China, and never had, not since the 1960s.

It's time to call it a day, after 50 years of spinning it out.

What the eXJ would have been up against/been obliterated by - first real-life take of the Merc EQS charging:

50342

- nearly 140 kW at nearly 70% SoC, around 300 km of range in 20 minutes, is fantasy-land for the 2016 I-Pace with a rear overhang - known as the binned 2018 eXJ/New XJ.

@BMVIrep

So, why do you think Daimler/Mercedes, who have always been super secretive with new product roadmaps, suddenly feels the need to share products that are years into the future?

Doesn't that smack you of desperation? Trying to hold on to customers that are tempting to bolt to Tesla?

I think they are scared ****less. Despite all the good intentions of the CEO, you can't underestimate the inertia that exists inside BMW, Mercedes and VWAG. How many internal combustion engineers that can't be fired are inside Mercedes rooting for BEVs never to be a thing? How many engine and transmission assembly line workers that can't be fired are there? The inertia is massive.

Now add in the inertia of the dealer networks. Will they really retrain their sales and service staff to BEV with open arms?

In 10 years, the entire German industry has not been able to produce a single vehicle that has 300 miles of range. Not one. They are so far behind, it is not even funny.

And.....lets say you are a super smart engineer, passionate about EVs, battery, electrification, graduating from a top German university.

What would be your dream job? Work for Tesla or work for VWAG or Daimler?

See the problem right there?

Meanwhile Tesla is headed by the guy who in his spare time leads a company that just launched 63 new satellites in space this week, and landed the same reusable booster on a floating platform for the 4th time.

What does Kallenius do when he is not doing PR talks and watching the spreadsheets?

See the difference, there?

'no 300 miles' = MEB with 77 kWh.

The EPA is no yard-stick, rather a stick to beat non-Tesla, non-US lapdogs, like UK JLR, as Volvo(Chinese Geely) is the latest to find out.

Kallenius has up to 10 years ahead, He knows the Brussels, Berlin, One-world govt. UN bolsheviks are driving him and his business out of business - the latest, fleet CO2 down to 60, maybe 50, g/km by 2025.

At that level, mass PHEV is too expensive, and mass ICE impossible. He has no choice, like Diess, but to turn his company upside down, and wreck the supply base in the process - the point of the bolsheviks, and of course up to 90% depopulation, through Zero Carbon.

German/European ingenuity has thwarted the scum so far, with rules-beating PHEVs. Now that they've been forced to fully go BEV, they are doing the same, as MEB, Taycan etc shows.

Tesla, I couldn't care less.

When base rates are zero or negative and blue-chip corporates can borrow for buttons, 1-2% max, 'stunning-success', 'surging sales in Q3(2020)', parent TM's share price gone parabolic on the strength of its stunning rebound JLR is borrowing at pay-day loan rates:

'Jaguar Land Rover lures investors with its costliest bond sale'

'JLR sold $700 million of notes, $200 million more than originally announced, but it came with a 7.75% coupon, the highest in the company’s capital structure.'

- something doesn't add up.

'Birch', backdoor loans, £500m bungs for 'Electric Jaguar', 'research' via WMG, whatever, are not enough to keep this turkey afloat, as I've said for months now.

HM.gov/UK taxpayers are coughing up around £2bn a year for JLR via these means, but it's a fraction of what JLR now needs, just to stand still, hence the 'unexpected' $200m uplift on this one financing action - JLR urgently needs cash.

Spaffer, Whitehall, Andy Street, the UK population, haven't a clue how much a gone totally bad and broke even mid-sized car maker needs, just to stay afloat - £billions a month - as I've said.

I said BL 40 years ago got an emergency, 'do or die' £1bn from the govt, which in today's real money is around £20bn.

Spaffer The Clown thinks he knows money - £250k/yr salary from The Torygraph for his fifth-form scribblings, "chicken feed" - but this five year old in an 18 stone, near sixty year old's body, does not understand industry, mass production, and real business - 'F it! - just handing over £billions to his mates/donors for HS2, Serco, Big4 accountants, etc - not business AT ALL, just cronyism.

He, Whitehall, grocers like Street, 99.9% of Brits cannot get their minds around how much money modern, competitive carmaking needs, which has gone exponential with PHEV, EV, autonomous, conneceted driving, etc, and the huge single-mindedness of the Koreans and Chinese to be No.1, overtaking the Germans and Japanese.

JLR needs around tens times the govt bunging it is getting, from here on in.

That's around 2-3 times HS2, on an annual basis.

The clowns in London, and the clowns in Bombay, haven't got a clue about this, just thinking the status quo, plus a little tweaking - Mayhem's £500m bung for instance - and HM Press doing their usual knob polishing, duping the cretinous - will suffice.

7.75% is lenders saying - 'we'll make a few bob on this, before it goes tits up'.

It's a loan shark squeezing the last few drops out of his no income, druggy mark.

What a pathetic situation this country has arrived at.

Even Thatcher/Michael Edwardes did the decent thing, and publicly displayed just how bust and finished BL was, and said: 'this is the deal - huge money in return for one last final chance, to be a viable mass-producer, global-ish player'.

Spaffer and co, all children, feather-bedded from birth, not living in the real world all their useless lives, wouldn't dare do this, with JLR, levelling with the public who have been paying for it for at least the last 5 years wholly, and funding Tata for 12.

They haven't the guts, and Bolllore is no Edwardes, just a shekel merchant.

If Tata had a brain... :

1. 'Cars emitting more than 225 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer will be taxed a maximum rate of 40,000 euros next year and 50,000 euros in 2022.'

- of course, quelle surprise, Bloomberg and Automotive News fail to point out how actually JLR would be hardest hit by this, not tiny Lambo etc, belonging to huge VAG and so on, with its millions of Polos etc, with JLR totally reliant on its V8 Full-fats and so on to make any money.

2. 'Für neu zugelassene Autos mit hohem Kraftstoffverbrauch wird ab 2021 eine höhere Kfz-Steuer fällig. Die Kfz-Steuerbefreiung für reine E-Autos wird dagegen verlängert.'

- the Bolsheviks fully intend for the little people to be driving around, if at all, in EV shopping trolleys, while they move around in flying cars, the 'ZiL lanes of the skies', and private jets to travel to that Climate Change conference.

What this means for JLR, the purveyor of 'Spritschleudern' par excellence, and f all EVs, is disaster, starting in just a few weeks - start of 2021.

Spaffer and his Notting Hill Green Tories/Billionaire Bolsheviks will inevitably follow, shoving VED up from around £2k in the first year now for >225 g/km CO2 to double or treble that, and annually, making behemoth SUVs - JLR's only calling card - extinct overnight.

If Tata had a brain... , rather than a colonial hang-up - 'we're the masters now', etc.

Get a clue, you dope pedldlers, and land this 'jewel in the crown' into Spaffer's lap - 'here you go, fatboy, it's all stunningly-successfully yours'.

Told ya, as predicted - it's almost as if this whole thing was engineered - reduce UK, for 99% of its inhabitants, to a backward, no-industry, pastoralised, dumbed-down 'nation' full of compliant sheep, subsisting on the govt teat - er, Communism - on the back of The Plandemic:

'Engineering giant Rolls-Royce is leading the pack, up by 17%. There’s growing chatter over a potential takeover,'

- drive the share price down to pennies on The Thing, see it rebound by a fraction of that on The Takeover, and hey presto, UK loses its last real engineering business of any merit and depth, save perhaps GKN, whose shyster owners at Melrose will be just waiting for a bid from some Global Corp, to offload it.

So obvious, so transparent, but so apparently impossible for 99% of Brits to grasp - given that they also fell hook, line and sinker for Thatcherism, Monetarism, Right to Buy, Brexit/'Get it Done', and £billions for an Excel spreasheet, but owned by a company with a geezer with a posh voice at the top, so it must be okay - see 'Royals' for more of this sh!t.

PR outfit has to deal with physical world, Part 2(Part I pig-iron Ingenium) - physical world wins:

'My niece lives and works in Lancashire and back in July paid a £249 deposit to reserve a 2021 Evoque SE p300e[the PHEV thing]. Originally the car was supposed to be handed over in October but last Friday the dealer said they were "still waiting for a build slot". I'd previously cautioned against anything based on brand-new tech (particularly from JLR) but she's in love with it and her heart is set. Plenty of rumours going round about emissions (again...) and/or the impact of the Brexit negotiations. Anybody connected with the company know what the problems migbt be this time?'

- we're now nearly at the end of the business year of 2020 - winding down in a few weeks - the year that saw its start marked by massive fanfare, PR hoopla of JLR with Evoques parading around with garish multi-colour letters of 'New Plug-in Hybrid Evoque' down their sides, and its 'launch', the PHEV thing(s), around April time, but still not a single drive review, never mind an airhead - see above - customer with his, er, her - 90% of Evoques are owned/run by airhead women - mitts on one.

There are fake 'reviews' out there, by the RAC and the like, pretending they've driven it, even with 'scores', but clearly, if Autocar, A/Express, Car, The Daily Mail and the likes of Clarkson and Andrew English(Torygraph) haven't driven it, no one actually has.

As I said, have said all along, this actually since 2008 always about to be launched thing, from the 'ERAD' Freelander - Volvo's on-market tech since ten years ago - to the 'gamechanging Evoque 'II' PHEV', is JLR getting away, again, with fraud, taking hundreds of £millions as cover for 'research' for ERAD onwards, from the UK taxpayer, and now knowing a 2.7/2.8+ tonnes gross weight Evoque/DSport PHEV, driven by a real output ~140hp 3-pot Ingenium, may be a tad dangerous, especially for the credulous airheads, its/their main target audience.

The electrical range and official CO2/mpg are of course typical, now usual JLR/UK.gov fairytales, state-endorsed taking the mick out of morons, who believe this rubbish.

But, obviously someone at JLR, fairly high up, must be digging his heels in - it will be a bloke, not an in it for herself woman who couldn't give a damn how many of the 'sisterhood' buy these deathtraps and kill themselves and their sprogs - not wanting to be associated with, signing off on a known very dangerous product - perhaps thinking about down the line, post-JLR legal culpability - a chartered engineer would be criminally liable - like a civil engineer's bridge collapse.

You can only PR so much, as shown by JLR and the UK - a country run for the 1%/.01%, convincing the 99% for 99% of the time it's run for them.

JLR has run up against reality - an ancient, 2006 platform, 2 tonne, 2 tonne+(DSport), high Cd, high frontal area vehicle, with the world's worst engine, Ingenium, putting out around 25-30% less than stated, and then the greed and arrogance of claiming 'world-beating', with these ingredients, to give official/UK DfT 41 miles electrical range, and tiny CO2/massive mpg.

The F'ers are incorrigible, never knowing when to stop with the lying, BSing, bragging and baosting, everything having to be gamechanging, stunning, iconic etc, when the actual products are barely Lada-plus.

Their asinine pomposity and arrogance looks to have finally tripped them up, not being able to square the circle of their lies/claims on the 'P300e' and appalling reality - dangerous, real non-EV mode mpg sub 20, EV range 15-20 miles, for something costing only a few £k off the likes of the X5 45e.

Again, something the media should be all over - 'Scandal!', 'What a disgrace!' 'Where's Old Bill?!', '£1bn+ taxpayer money down the drain!', 'Bollore must be summoned by MPs!', 'The heads of the DfT sec. of state and the Vehicle Certification Agency quango must roll!', etc.

But, these vermin are too stupid, too lazy and too venal to do anything, but polish Indian oligarchs' and the UK regime's knobs, as the good little lowlife presstitutes they 99.9% are.

'My niece lives and works in Lancashire and back in July paid a £249 deposit to reserve a 2021 Evoque SE p300e'

- otherwise known as taking money under false pretences:

'Fraud by false representation (Section 2); Fraud by failing to disclose information ... by deception)'

- several thousand UK deposits alone for this 'gamechanger' since announcement in April from airheads/headbangers in the UK, is free financing for Tata, sorry, 'JLR', when it would have to pay ~7.75% interest otherwise

Plus, the £80m given for 'ERAD' - Evoque 'II's PHEV system/Volvo's 10 year old system - from UK taxpayers in 2008, coincidentally just as Tata took over, the ~£1bn for the scrap metal Ingenium, and another £billion or so for the WMG 'Advanced Propulsion Centre', which this gamechanging PHEV and the like by JLR would of course have been deigned to be eminently grantable for.

Wakey-wakey, Plod, time to extract digit from rear, time to go to work, ...do some work.

thick as mince - 'Brexit', 'emissions', now 'Covid':

'PHEV orders looking dodgy - I had one ordered in June that was due this week and it has all gone quiet. I think there must be some manufacturing delay or hold up due to COVID. As you state also cannot rule out anything to with the fact the emissions and the fact the car is nowhere near as clean to run as they state!'

What next will the Clownerati come up with to explain Tata stuffing £2bn+ of UK taxpayer money into their pocket for ERAD, Ingenium and Advanced Propulsion? 'The dog ate my homework'? Alien abduction and brains sucked out of '13,000 JLR engineers', replaced with pulp?

Oh sh!t, they'll probably run with that - 'JLR stuns world with iconic noise cancellation system deduced from crashed alien craft'.

It's all we have, laughing at these clowns - 'Government', 'journalism', 'law enforcement', and 'world-beating JLR', and their cretinous, credulous believers.
