My car has suffered from an intermittent but annoying little rattle around the front passenger door latch area. It only seems to occur when the door has been pulled shut from the inside. An American owner on another forum reported his dealer had cured a similar rattle by adjusting the striker plate.
While checking the door I found signs of rubbing on the top rear corner of the front door chrome trim and the top front corner of the rear door trim on both sides of the car. When shut the clearance between the front and rear door trims is minute - they could even be touching. Adjusting the front striker plates upwards slightly would increase the gap.
I would be interested to know if other owners have seen signs of door trim rubbing.
The dealer is looking into the rattle tomorrow.
