Hi, I have just had new pads on the rear brakes , after 19k miles. This I think is reasonable, but I was a little put out that the standard service time, according to me dealer, is 1 hour. At their rates and the cost of spares it was an expensive business. I have changed pads in about 10 minutes on some cars, so I don't really know where the hour comes from !, Any expereinece anyone ?

P.s New tyres also at 19k !!

Welcome to the forum Jaydee :)
This subject has inspired many posts of late; perhaps the most can be read in the post: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=835

It is certainly not a job that you can DIY because of the need to reset the Electronic Brake.
For what it is worth I paid £98 the other week for the same job at a Jaguar dealer; another dealer wanted £180
