Hi All, just a general question, what does your local dealer charge per hour? Just rang mine (Marshalls) and quote £140.00 per hour!!!! Never heard of anything so rediculous even Audi are a lot cheaper. Mind you My dealer has recently had a new showroom built so maybe they have had to get the money back somehow? Interesting to hear other people's experiences😀

Good morning Thetzr. I read your post late last night and I too cannot say I am happy with the hourly rate charged by Marshalls. I am not so able now, as a full time carer, to carry out my own work and as a result have had work done by a garage I used for many years when I owned a sequence of Saabs. They recently changed the pads and disks on my 2010 XFS and their hourly rate was £78/ hr. The service they provided for me over some ten years of Saab ownership was first class and I only became a Jaguar man when Saab discontinued production. I am thinking of changing some filters myself but after ten years with the XF it needs the cambelt and fuel pump belt changing so perhaps this will have to done at Marshalls as a one off job. I googled to see if I could find a reasonably local independent operator with no success, the nearest being way down beyond Stansted airport. If you come up with some one near Cambridge it would be nice to know about them.
My best regards, Dos.

Hi Dos, I may be able to help with something much closer, visit this site: https://www.jaguarfuelconversions.co.uk/jaguar-specialists they are just outside Boston. I would have used them to program a new key but I have been told that unless a bona fide Jaguar garage does it it could kill the car😩, however I will be giving them a call for anything else as they have good reviews. Glad to hear you are happy with your XF and hung onto it for so long. Steve

Granted out two favorite dealers are USA, but one is $41.50/hour (@32/pounds/hour) and the other just a little less. Sorry you were given such a huge quote for labor!
