I have always driven safely, perhaps sometimes a little too fast as my SP30's will agree, but always quite defensively. You know, always slowing down at the first hint of trouble, slow, low power cornering and so on.

Well, I'm bored! I saw the videos on Jaguar's website of the XF going around that wet track early in the morning and, well if I'm honest, I dreamed about doing that too. But how?

I could probably find a local speedway and try it out in my new XF but I'd be risking ploughing up the surrounding fields and damaging my new XF.

Is there any 'advanced [read enthusiastic] driver training' packages available and, if so, would anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks,
David.

Start with some skid pan training at any motor racing circuit.

Next, wait for a rainy day & find a good open roundabout.

Finally, press the DSC button for 10 seconds until the 'bong' sounds.....

... then enjoy ....

woohoo - smoke filled arches - no wonder my Pirellis only lasted 8000 miles!!!

Seriously, it's worth doing some proper Advanced Driver training with RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) or IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists) if you want to know how to keep control if it all goes wrong. Google them.
