In real-world driving conditions, I have been very impressed with the pulling power of the diesel XF. Accelerating hard from 30mph to motorway speeds is very quick and smooth. It's a bit sluggish when moving off but once you're moving it provides an incredible surge if you plant the accelerator to the floor.

I agree Roma. The torque is good which makes it a good real world performer even if it doesnt have the headline BHP. In terms of the off the line I have found that pushing the foot down a bit more than you would expect to when pulling off solves the slow off to 30mph. doing that, i dont even notice the flatspot.
