I was on holiday last week with my 1 month old XF. I was turning a corner and suddenly felt the steering wheel was struck. I immediately turned harder and overcame the resistance. But there were clicking noises from the back of the steering wheel afterwards and occasional resistances. I called the Jaguar assist, they sent a local garage mechanics to have a look. Apparently there is a switch at the back of the steering wheel somehow is causing obstruction to the wheel while it turns. He doesn't know what the switch for and I suspect it is the switch controlling the cornering lights as the lights will switch on when you turn the steering wheel. I went to my Jaguar garage today, the mechanics had a look but they still don't know what is the problem. so they are going to dismantle the steering column next week to have a look. has anyone experienced something similar?
