walked away from my car today and into house with keys i had deliberatly left the car running to see if it would turn itself off. it didnt. my husband drove it a few feet and it was still running. - great for thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once it's started it stays running.

We had somone drive 30 minutes away in an XK and turn the engine off. At that point he discovered the guy who he picked the car up of still had the keys in his pocket...

I suspect that Jaguar might say that you get exactly what is says on the tin!
In fact it is Keyless entry plus a few nice touches such as not allowing you to do as I did once and lock my key in the boot of an S Type. No claims are made beyond those outlined in the manual so the moral is; don't leave the car with the engine running - illegal in the UK - or you will only have protection after the car runs out of fuel or the engine is switched off.
