went to look at a xf 2.2d the other day, very nice and tidy car, owner was very honest said that he didnt know to a couple of my questions, maybe you can answer them,
1, how do you engage and disengage the EPB?
2, the bonnet has an after market leaping jaguar on it, are they legal, he said nothing was said on the last MOT
3,is it a chain or cambelt?

You need to put your foot on the brake pedal to release it. It also automatically releases when you put the car in gear.

hi Kev it has a cambelt, had mine changed a couple of weeks ago , cost £500. Not sure about the other queries. Derek

I too have a Jaguar leaper on my jag which is spring loaded , not ridged, . No mention on my MOTs . But I assume it would be up to law on injury if you were involved in an accident.
