Sorry if I sound like an anorak, but can you tell me how long the 12V supply in the cubby hole under the centre arm rest remains live after the ignition is switched off. I'm thinking about recharging mobile phones and iPods plugged into the car.

Checking the wiring diagram for the socket it is fed by the accessory relay which is energised by the ignition being switched on and switched off when ignition switched off.

Thanks for the info, but there is a delay before the power is cut after the ignition is switched off. I have just re-checked and it stayed on for about 15 minutes after the ignition was switched off. Opening the driver's door switches the power on again. :?: :?: :?:
