I am starting to find that reading this forum is quite depressing. The only topics which seem to generate any interest are related to (generally minor) faults with the XF. While I think we might all acknowledge that it does have a few quirks, but I can honestly say that in 40+ years of motoring, averaging 30,000miles per year, it is certainly in my top 3 of cars that I have owned (my XK and Alfa 164 the other two - now the Alfa really was flawed but what a car)
Yes the fuel filler is annoying, as is the rear window, as is the DPF thing and I know Gary must be well and truly hacked off with his 'Duff Diff' but PLEASE....
I am sure Jaguar work as hard as they are able to resolve any design deficiencies although they cannot have the resources available of BMW or Mercedes
We cant do anything about the economic crisis affecting all used car prices, but at least the price of fuel has come down since most of us have taken delivery.

Come on XF'ers lets have a half full not half empty attitude!! :)

I like the car but felt this was an honest forum and if we have issues we post them. I think most of us are posting experiences not opinions. Have a look at most internet forums on vehicles, this is what you get guys, experiences.
So all you 'half full' guys post some positive experiences.........

With sales around the 40,000 mark the car must be classed as great success there are about 4/5 XF forums that discuss not only the good side of the XF but the not so good as well,as it should be as there is not a car that has been built that is flawless. My £800 worth of jaguar goodwill gestures tell my story and I classify myself as unlucky and in the minority group of owners. Although I have never really thought about changing the car (well possibly once) and enjoy the driving experience very much it is the best drivers car I have driven but on saying that I would hate to have come on to this site (before buying mine) and read only praise for the car, the truth sometimes is not what you want to hear which in the main is just trivia and expected of new model cars, this site is not (I hope) sponsored by Jaguar. Just to show Im with you all I have removed the reference to my little hmmm problem (signature)

We may have had a few niggles, and mine is back in the workshop for a recall as I write this, BUT would not change, as I love the whole diving experince and it still turns heads as you drive past them . :D :D :D

This was nice to see I wish all my customers were so understanding. jaguar's sales are up 12% YTD and that is thanks to a certain new model. Not bad considering the climate. Don't normally post here but couldn't ignore this one ;)
