I have a new 3.0D XF, with 4000 miles. I have found a progressively increasing judder when braking. First noted between 70mph to 50mph with light braking (on the motorway) where there would be a palpable vibration through the sterring wheel. Now braking above >30mph results in a visible judder (2cm each way) on the steering wheel. really hard braking does not seem to cause the problem!

Brake discs not scored. Any thoughts before I take it to the dealer later?

regards,

Rob

Welcome to the forum nurgle :)
My only thought is the one you have already had; take it to the dealer today.

Possible it could be either brake discs warped, or a problem with the suspension bushes allowing movement when braking. As pete said get to the dealer asap. ;)

hmmm.

Warped discs or track rod issues?

Have you bounced up a kerb quite heavily recently?

bilateral front brake discs replaced under warranty by Jaguar dealer, problem now solved (drove 200 miles this evening). Will see if it re-occurs in the next 4,000 miles or so.
