So, I have a shiny new XF Porfolio coming end of April (Company car so didn't get any choice of options)

Looking at the configurator on Jag website it says Adaptive cruise is a £0 option on the new 20d 180ps Portfoilio
If so, why wouldn't it just be included as standard?

I have been given the VIN for the car and from the info I have from Topix, it doesn't seem to list it..

They changed the configuration between 2017 and 2018 model years. I paid about £1400 for the option on my 2017 model year delivered 1 March 2017. But I believe it's now included with the Active Safety Pack on the 2018 build. The configurator seems to have been changed several times over the transition of model year, I think they messed it up. So the first thing to check is what model year your car will be. Then check the configurator matches that.

Having said which, I love my new car which is very like yours - so you are in for a treat!

Makes sense, thank you.

I imagine it will be the 2017 as you have had. Also, it is a lease car, so likely to have been pre-built quite some time ago.
That said though, really looking forward to it!
I have had a look in the showroom but never been in one on the road so it will all be brand new to me.

I have waited 3 months, so can't come soon enough now!

When you log in to TOPIx, if you enter the VIN it will tell you what model year it is. It's on the initial screen. If you have ACC/Queue Assist, it's listed under 'minor features' as 'ACC+QUEUE ASSIST' so if you don't see that, you won't have it. As far as I know, all cars are 'built to order' so if it's a brand new car I don't think it will have been built for very long - the oldest component date code I have found on my car is December 2016 and I know the car was built last week in January/first week in February 2017. And if you've never driven one, it's as comfortable as an armchair but corners like a sports car; and compared with my previous cars, it's very fast!

You will love it, I'm sure. I've compared the full spec against mine and while I can see the options I ordered the one interesting difference is the spring load class - mine is 'D' for front and rear which I assume is due to the additional mass of the AWD transmission. Also gives the lie to my salesman saying Goodyear tyres are fitted to AWD and Pirelli to RWD - yours has Goodyear Eagle F1 like mine (they seem very good to me, though not tested to the limit yet!).

Well, I like my gadgets and gizmos. Which it seemingly has them in droves :)

Although I wish they would hurry up with Spotify support for Android phones. But that's for another thread :)
