 One for the XF 'Anorak'
As an SOV operator, I spend a considerable amount of time on road research and have recently discovered SABRE - the Society for all British and Irish Road Enthusiasts. Some of you may not believe such an organisation could possibly exist but it has 1300 members and a website. They also have a forum.........take a look. I am not a member but, considering the rubbish you lot write here, I might just be tempted away

Re: One for the XF 'Anorak'
I will shrug off your apocryphal remarks with due composure.......... and confess the truth Frequently in my SOV, I enthral my troops with effusions on highway development and construction. For example, did you know that recycled books are widely used in road building, being shredded into fibres which assist with holding road tar to the surface and promoting sound absorption. A mile of motorway consumes around 50,000 books Evidently, I am precisely the type of member they are seeking to recruit

Superb! We were having trouble getting our 11 month off to sleep at night, I believe you have now solved our problem! As long as I can stay awake long enough to finish reading it to her!

That should scupper any chance you thought you may have had of leaving

Does that mean we get a step-change in the noise of the roads everytime another Jordan biography hits the shelves, and shoprtly after Dan Brown releases a new book?
