 Highest recorded MPG I know there is a thread which deals with average mpg but I was wondering what is the highest recorded mpg achieved at any one time. On a return journey from the Lake District yesterday whilst travelling on the M6 I managed to achieve a recorded mpg of 58.8. My overall average was 50 plus which included a mixture of motorway driving and b roads. Needless to say I am well pleased

Re: Highest recorded MPG Highest I achieved on my last XF 2.7D was 45mpg on a 300 mile round journey on the same day.
Current 3.0S is 41mpg over 150 mile journey, but it has only 2500 miles on the clock.

Re: Highest recorded MPG 58.8 is an amazing return, well done. Just goes to show what can be achieved when we are in the mood to cruise slowly. Not that I am always....

Re: Highest recorded MPG Pretty impressive. I managed to get an average of 50.8 mpg and 52 mpg on trips back from Sussex. Never 58 though!!

Re: Highest recorded MPG On my 3.0 Diesel S, highest i've had is 43.5 going at 60 constantly....ok i guess but help but be slightly dissapointed, comparing to what other people have found.. It's done 38k miles so shouldnt be a 'running in' problem. Oh well.

Re: Highest recorded MPG Wow, some of you have managed amazing figures. I think my high speed runs need to be less "high speed". Just done uner a thousand miles with mine so far and have managed no more than about 35 mpg.
Have been driving like a prat (testing the car) so quite impressed so far
